For sale is my Broom Captain, she was built in 1958 and was made from Mahogany on oak, this is a project and requires a lot of work to finish. As you can see a lot of work has already been done on the port side and the bottom, it will require a repair to the chine rail on both port and starboard sides and either a new stem or you could refit the old one, I removed it to make a new one that could be varnished. The topside shave been repaired in iroko and the bottom in Redwood. All the interior is present and lots have already been revarnished but all the inside will require new varnish but lots have already been taken back to bare wood.There is no engine included and will require new water tanks fridge and cooker although the old ones are present. The boat is on the hard standing at one of the broads biggest working diy yard, the cost of the hardstanding is approx £100 per month and is paid up to the end of Febuary, the boat can stay where it is or the yard can load onto transport for you. I am only selling as I have two other wooden boats and just don’t have the time to finish. I have available separately a Perkins 4108 engine and two new stainless steel water tanks and a new calorifer if required. Fletcher 15ft Speedboat A fun Fletcher 15ft speed boat that’s easy to manage on and off the water. It’s very fun to drive with light controls and sharpe cornering plus amazing top speeds. Broom Aquarius Classic Speedboat – fully refurbished – yamaha 150 hpdi outboard For sale is my classic broom aquarius speedboat. I bought the boat which hadn’t been used for a while. The hull was in great condition, but the gelcoat, interior and engine needed a lot of TLC. (purchase price £3,000). The gelcoat has been sanded down and polished up, it’s now shining white again – with the coloured stripes being replaced with sunseeker blue marine vinyl. Seats were rebuilt from marine wood (the front 2 seats are made from fibreglass), sponge and marine leather vinyl – finished in white with grey stripe detailing. There are 2 front seats, only 1 is currently in the boat though. – cost of £1,500. All side padding and dashboard have also been built and recovered. New steering wheel, finished in gloss wood to give the classic look. There are also a pair of sony marine speakers built in – along with an amplifier to hook up any mp3 player / iPod / phone. We also had the transom rebuilt and covered in stainless steel to accommodate the new engine (work on the floor and transom carried out by Douglas marine – who build power and racing boats) – cost of £1,000. Engine is a 2008 Yamaha 150 hpdi – 2 stroke engine. The engine is in great condition with low hours – fully serviced. It comes with a self priming/feed 2 stroke exterior tank and gauges as seen in the dashboard. – cost of £3,200. The boat also has a build in 80 litre fuel tank in the bow. We use this boat often in the summer, on a full tank it lasts us 2/3 days of heavy use – the engine is very economical. Comes on the roller trailer. There is no light board included though. This really is a great looking boat and lots of fun. You won’t see another boat like this or in such good condition. The overhead tow bar allows for great water skiing / wake boarding / towing inflatables – along with the powerful engine. – Full speed around 50mph.
